Low Voltage Plug 'n' Play

Research gathered a few years ago, revealed some of the problems installers perceived with installing multiple zone heating circuits. The answers came back time and time again that the wiring was becoming far too complicated and specialised. The time taken to wire up these systems was unacceptable, and trouble shooting to find errors stressful.

Our answer was simple – no wires, limited low voltage connections, and minimal 240v output. Let's design a system that to connect, we simply supply with a standard 3 pin UK plug.

CoMtrol Wireless Receiver/Command Centre

Description: For underfloor heating systems, the multi-channel receiver has many benefits, and simplifies the whole installation procedure. Firstly, the control system is low voltage, 24v. The transformer unit is supplied with a standard 3 pin plug, so the whole system can be wired in safely, then on final connection, simply 'plugged in'.

The multi channel receiver comes in 4, 6 and 8 channel outlets, and these are wired (24v connections) to thermo-electric heads (TEH) on the distribution manifold. Each roomstat is 'tuned' in to one or more channels on the receiver, and when that roomstats calls for heat; the receiver actuates the TEH and opens the port on the manifold that serves that zone (or zones). Connection for the pump for the underfloor heat is provided so that the whole system is integrated in, making for simple and fast set up.

Note, this receiver is only one part of a complete radio frequency system, and will only operate with CoMtrol intelligent RF components.
