Temperature is Important

Underfloor heating design is based on warm water of say between 47°C and 60°C being circulated under the floor to create a radiant heat emitted from the floor. In nearly all systems it is necessary to reduce the flow temperature from the boiler down to the design under floor temperature. This has been traditionally achieved via a blending valve. The valve can either be installed into the system as a separate valve, or can be built into the circulating module (see product group Heating Pump Mixer Set).

Blending Valve

Description: For blending flow and return water and achieving a lower temperature (as required to safely heat under floor) higher temperatures may cause damage to tiled or wooden floors.
