Eco company gets even greener
Eco heating equipment company IntaEco has passed a big milestone for a business in its sector by becoming Carbon Neutral. Being Carbon Neutral® means having zero net carbon emissions. Commercial director Cynthia Fisher explains; "Our products help to get the very best from solar and ground sourced heating installations. The environment is at the heart of our business, so being as green as we can ourselves is very important to us. Improvements in technology mean that using alternative energy sources is increasingly viable. 22% of the energy used in the home heats water and even in the British climate, solar energy could supply 60% of that."
For a business, Carbon Neutral is achieved by measuring the carbon footprint of a company's activities, then implementing reduction strategies to minimise its emissions and then 'neutralising' the remaining, unavoidable carbon dioxide through carbon-saving projects around the world.
IntaEco's product range includes plumbing valves, pump stations, manifolds, automatic air venting and pipe systems designed specifically for the high temperature environments of solar heating, underfloor heating and geothermal heat collectors as well as other water conservation products.
